April 11, 2008 - Dollywood Parade- Each year, the City of Pigeon Forge invites Friends of Great Smoky Mountains National Park to participate in the Dollywood Parade.  This year the float’s them is Music of the Mountains, featuring Park rangers, one of the Park’s Toyota Prius vehicles, Smoky the Bear, and the acoustic sounds of local group Wild Blue Yonder!

April 12, 2008 - Friends of the Smokies is a proud sponsor of the Run for Clean Air.

April 28-29, 2008 -   2008 Great Smoky Mountains Sustainable Tourism Summit- The Summit provides the opportunity to hear the leading experts in sustainable tourism. You can make a difference in the Smokies by volunteering to work on National Trails Day. Registration is required.
